G is for Gold

Everyone watches the Olympics right? So you probably saw Canada win an Olympic record for most golds at a winter Olympics ever. They also reset the record for most golds by a host country. That is pretty cool.

Now I am going to talk about some of the heroes from the Olympics. Well if I am talking about Canadian heroes at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics you have to talk about Alexandre Bilodeau. He was the first Canadian to win a gold medal on home. He was amazing because even though he had just become famous he made sure to say hi to his brother and he kept saying he was inspired to ski by his brother and he kept trying to tell everyone that he owed this to his brother.

The next hero I am going to talk about is the guy who scored the goal that got Canada the gold medal that broke the record for most golds at any winter Olympics. Yes I am talking about Sidney Crosby. He was the one who got the puck in the corner and skated up to the net and released a shot that trickled by the American goaltender Ryan Miller. I remember watching at home and my brother went crazy when he knew that they won.

Of course it wouldn't be fair if I didn't mention the other gold medalists they are Jon Montgomery,Jasey-Jay Anderson,Charles Hamelin,Maƫlle Ricker,Christine Nesbitt,Ashleigh McIvor,Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse,Kevin Martin Ben Hebert Marc Kennedy John Morris Adam Enright, Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue, the mens and womens hockey teams recieved gold,Mathieu Giroux, Lucas Makowsky and Denny Morrison,
Charles and Francois Hamelin, Guillaume Bastille, Jean Olivier, and Francois-Louis Tremblay.

Life Lesson: Always believe in your country.
